Who we are
This website is run by Manchester DAB CIC, a community interest company registered in England and Wales (company number 13356533). We operate the Manchester and Salford small-scale DAB digital radio multiplex.

What we collect
When you send the application form, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, station name and your answers. We don't use cookies or advertising trackers.
Why we collect it
We use your details only to reply about broadcasting on the Manchester DAB multiplex. We don't use them for marketing, and we don't share them except as this notice describes.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: our interest in answering genuine enquiries about our services.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we reasonably need to reply and follow up. If an application doesn't go ahead, we delete it a year after deciding that. If your station joins the multiplex, we keep what relates to your contract for as long as it runs, and afterwards as the law requires.
Who else sees your data
Gaydio CIC manages the multiplex on behalf of Manchester DAB. It delivers the application form to our inbox and keeps it in the records it uses to bring new stations on air. Gaydio CIC and our website host (Cloudflare) see your data only to do those jobs. If you set up a Direct Debit, GoCardless processes your payment details (their privacy notice).
Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct inaccurate data
- ask us to erase your data, where there's no legal reason to keep it
- object to processing based on legitimate interests
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk
